It seems we are potty training. Not by my choice....but Gabe's choice.
We put on some big boy blue racecar undies last night and let him run around the house. No accidents.
This morning when he woke he brought the undies down with his slew of animals and blankets. So, I put them back on him.
Notice his hand full of gumballs in the photo? I am overly happy to report that so far today, G has gone #1 thrice AND #2 once(d)!!!!!!
I did put a diaper on him while we went to the gym this morning...but it was dry when we got back home and the undies went right back on.
So proud of our big boy.
On my to do list this afternoon - Pull-ups, cooshie tooshie, step stool, and waterproof matress cover.
I gotta go with this and not look back. As much as I'm not ready.....G is ready. Now, sit or stand???? I'm so confused.

My boys started with little potties inside and sat (real potties are just so tall these days it's hard for them to do it inside at first) and then daddy taught them how to stand and pee outside and it easily carried over:) Bad thing......they love to pee outside! Have fun!!!

Dr. Forbess suggested initially teaching to sit on a small seat that fits onto the regular potty. She said using the small potties first just makes for another transition and the kids may not want to go out in public (where the big potties are!!!). Nico just decided on his own (relatively soon after starting) that he wants to stand.
Oh, good luck!!! PT with Nico was pretty easy. We did the stay home for 3 days, straight to undies (except for pull-ups at nap and bed). I know you and G will do great...especially since he's so excited about it!

Yay for Gabe! That's great! Noah learned sitting on a little potty / a potty seat that goes on the big potty...until he was bigger and could stand and do it. A good trick is to have him eventually stand on your feet at restaurants to boost him up a bit! Good luck...you'll be glad when it's over! :)
It has been a few years since I learned what to do but I want to pass on what I remember....... Well I don't remember much, just try to hit the hole. One other thing always remember Pop will always love you whether you hit the hole or not.

SIIIIITTTT!! I swear Logan closes his eyes and aims for the wall when he goes! You do NOT want to clean pee up for the rest of his youth!
Oh...and peeing outside never gets old...unless you mention that an alligator might bite it off...then you can't get them to go on the side of the road when there isn't a restroom for miles...
Congrats Gabe! Love the undies! Logan used to wear his Scooby Doo ones backwards so that he could see the big picture on it...
