All better

Today is a good day.

Stephen and I woke up (on our own) at 8:00 a.m.; both kids still sound asleep, the sun shining, and everyone well again.

...and I couldn't resist taking pics outside of our little, grown-up man in his Sunday best.

Back to his happy self.

Free of the horrible virus that invaded his little body for the past 5 days.
***UPDATE***
Gabe threw up his dinner tonight. WHAT IS GOING ON HERE!!!!!??????

Stay away - stay far away!

Stay far far away from our household.

Gabe is working on day 4 of having this virus.

I had it for 24 hours.

Now, Stephen caught it.

Poor Allie, it's just a matter of time....

Virus???

Gabe caught a virus??? He has had several episodes of vomitting and diarreah today. But, other than that he has been his happy little self. It's confusing. He vomits everywhere in the car today. I pull over to somewhat clean up the mess and he gives me this huge grin. Are you sick or not bud???

***UPDATE***
Poor little Gabers is still fighting this virus. He is on his 3rd outfit of the day, stripped his crib once, and I still have syrupy smelling hair from yesterdays breakfast because I have yet to shower today.
***UPDATE PART 2***
Okay, it seems I caught what Gabe had....NO FUN! Fortunately for me, it lasted 24 hours. Gabe, poor thing, is still working through it. This is day 4 of this nasty bug he has had. The diarreah (I think) is gone, but he is still vomitting. Say a little prayer this passes soon and no other family members catch it.

Wakey wakey

I snuck in Gabe's room today to take a few pics of my sleeping beauty.

He woke up.....HAPPY! I love this little guy. (Have I said that before??) I love him!

"Mom, get me outta here".
Allie actually volunteered to have her picture made with her brother....no chocolate bribery (this time).

They were doing just fine in their photo shoot.....

....until this happened.

Conyers

The kids and I loaded up in the car Monday morning for a quick visit to see Trae, J, and Addy in Conyers, GA.

We took the kids to the Conyers St. Patty's Day Parade. Blink and you'll miss it!

There was one of these....

A couple of these.....

and lots of this....normal, everyday people, dressed in green, walking in clusters down the 2 blocks this parade lasted. After the parade Allie looked at me and said, "When does the parade start?"

The girls snuggling watching morning cartoons. Allie is not a morning person, she gets this from her daddy!

Such graceful drivers. They gave each other whiplash.

Can this child be any cuter!!??? Thank you so much Addyson for sharing your home and toys with us. We hope to invite ourselves back very soon.

Numero Uno

My parents are out of the country and the only way to see their precious grand babies is through my blog. So, I promised them I would post new pics daily for them to see while they are away. So, here is installment numero uno!

I'm a happy little guy.

Make that a happy, sick little guy.

Pop - Allie got the stickers. She was jumping up and down when I told her she got something in the mail from you.

vroom vroom.

She was suppose to be painting....with a paintbrush....on paper! I found her using her paintbrush to paint on her arms and hands.

Allie's 1st trip to the dentist

I took Allie to the dentist today for her first cleaning. She watched me get my teeth cleaned and asked a TON of questions. I was feeling good about her cleaning. Here she is cooperating and ready for her turn.....

...It all went downhill when the hygienist leaned the seat back. She flipped out and did not cooperate AT ALL. We made an appointment 6 months out when we'll try again.

Double ear infection

Gabe has a double ear infection. Lucky us, right? He didn't let us go to bed until 3:00 a.m. Stephen and I took turns letting him sleep (or attempt to sleep) upright on us to help with the pressure in his ears. He would fall asleep for about 15 minutes, then the pain would wake him up and the crying would continue. This went on until 3:00 a.m. when he finally fell asleep for the night. We're both exhausted today. I gave him the antibiotic as soon as the pharmacy filled it. Pray that it kicks in soon!

From snowmen to picnics

It's hard to believe that just 6 days ago there was 3 inches of snow covering the ground. And today, the high was 76. We wanted to take advantage of the warm sunshine and met some of our friends at the park for a picnic. The unfortunate part was the rest of Greenville had the same idea we did!

Gabe is getting over a cold and loved being outdoors. He is an explorer! I caught him many times just crawling off into nowhere land to picnic with other people. He also tried out a new food....grass.

Dancin' King

(photograph by Susan Patton. I can't take credit...she is too good)

Looks like we've got a dancer on our hands. I was playing the piano last night holding Gabe in my lap, and he started swaying back and forth. Then he looked up at me and smiled! I LOVE THIS LITTLE BOY!

And at dinner, Stephen was singing the smurf song "La la la la la sing a happy song".... And lo and behold, Gabe tried to mimic Stephen. He was holding out his "la" sound like he was trying to sing while he was swaying back and forth.

Pop and Maw-maw visit

The kids anxiously awaiting the arrival of Pop and Maw-maw.

Being a little more cooperative.
Allie and Pop and best buds. Dad does anything she wants.

Cheers.

Making cupcakes.

He pulls up on anything and everything. And is a speed crawler.

My little princess looking so grown. (That would be a play-dog necklace).

March Snowstorm

HA! The news channels are calling this snow the "March Snowstorm". A far stretch, but we did get enough snow to close down the city. As promised, I took Allie out first thing this morning to build a snowman. There we were at 7:00 am playing in the snow while the rest of the neighborhood slept peacefully. She helped me for all of about 10 minutes and decided it was too cold. I saw her watching me through the window in the nice warm house. Speaking of warmth, we are lucky to have power. There are thousands (16-20,000) that are without power.
