As you watch the video, you may think you witnessed Chewbacca catching a shark; not exactly.
On our recent trip to Marco, us guys decided to take "The Hurricane" 12 miles off shore to do a little deep sea fishing. On the list were:
Lane Snapper
With the help of a little Chum (thanks to C for coordinating), Lane Snapper we caught. 16 keepers to be exact besides we had a house full of women and children expecting us men to bring back dinner. We couldn't and didn't disappoint.
Also on the list were Red Grouper:
We did catch one keeper Grouper (we should have kept more but our resident game warden C couldn't read a ruler). Don't get misled, we caught significant Grouper however Florida law restricts Red Grouper to a minimum 20" in order to toss in the cooler.
Our highlight was when I, not Chewie landed the above lemon shark (A special thanks to the Brides Maid for being the videographer). Actually, C and I were lucky enough to hook into sharks at the same time which provided the icing on the cake.
It was a great day on the water catching fish Marco Island Style.
