Playing with bugs

Stephen needs a son! I had to go inside when they were playing with this beetle bug. Ugh!
I was putting away Allie's toys today and saw what sums up her personality....a baby riding in a dumptruck. She loves playing with her stuffed animals and babies, but also is interested in balls, trucks and bugs.

4th of July

We went to downtown Easley for their 4th of July celebration. We all enjoyed the fireworks.

Watching the band play. Look at that belly! I asked the "event information" lady where the nearest bathroom was and she led me straight to the VIP restrooms which were 5 feet away from our seats!
I like this picture. Allie is going to miss her pillow.

Waiting on our table for dinner...

Here is a pic of the band "The Flashbacks"...the whole evening was quite entertaining. The best part was people watching. There were definitely some interesting people that live in Easley, SC...I will leave it at that so I won't get myself into trouble!

Pool Opening

Our pool finally openend this past Sunday. Allie and I have been taking advantage of it while we can before this baby is born. We have been swimming everyday this week. She LOVES the water and the big kids from the neighborhood that she gets to play with. She is so fun watching swim with her swimmies on....no fear...and of course, she wants to do everything by herself.

So long Pathfinder....

I got a new car!!!!! 07 Honda Pilot. I LOVE everything about it. A little bittersweet though....I had to say goodbye to my 95 Pathfinder last night. I had that car for 7 1/2 years and it was nothing but good to me. Stephen drove it to work this morning and will not be coming home with it. The guy buying it is picking it up today. He bought it for his 16 year old daughter (who has no idea she is getting a car today!). So long Pathfinder....hello Pilot!

The Final Countdown

We have a date set for a C-section - July 15th at 10:00 am.

However, we are still hoping to go into labor before this date. I am dilated 1 1/2 cm...and 50% effaced. So, I have a ways to go before having this baby on my own. So, my dr. did a sweep of my membranes today. That is suppose to help me go into labor. I don't know if it is all in my head, but I do feel like the membrane sweep is making me have some different feelings down there...sharp pains and a good bit of pressure from the baby. And she said she felt the baby's head when she was examining me. I can definitely tell the baby has dropped. The top part of my belly is smushy and the baby is hanging low. Not too much longer!!!!!

Visit to the Firestation

Allie and I had a playdate with our mommy group today at the Mauldin Firestation. I figured she would love it, but it turns out she was quite scared.

This is as close as she would get to the firetruck. All of the other kids were crawling all inside, but Allie was attached to me.

Sleeping quarters. There were little cubicles...about 15 of them...lined up in a row where each fireman had his own space.

I think what pushed Allie over the edge is the fireman fully dressed on the right in this pic. He had all of the gear on and came over to each kid to shake their hand. Allie hid behind me while I shook the nice fireman's hand.

The Rescue truck...to the right of Allie is the "jaws of life".

Another look a the rescue truck and all of the stuff inside.

37 week dr. appt.

I guess no news is good news????

I have absoultely nothing new to report from my dr. appt. this morning. I'm a bit dissapointed. I figured they would check to see if I have dilated more. That will have to wait until next week. I just keep hoping I am able to go into labor on my own before my due date....otherwise, we will probably set up the C-section.
