Izzy

IMG_1545 copy

The news was not good on Izzy.

It turns out she does have lymphoma and her time left with our family will be shorter than we hoped.

When not treated, typically dogs will live 4-6 weeks with lymphoma. She is taking a steroid and so far, is showing little signs of having cancer . We have 2 weeks worth of the steroid and at that point will re-evaluate her and see how she is doing. Dogs treated can live as long as 6 more months. We will continue that treatment until we see signs of her suffering.

Until then, we are just going to spoil her rotten and enjoy the time that we have left with her.

Poor Iz. It was so hard saying good-bye last weekend-I teared up a bit. Hopefully she will live a pain-free many months! Please feel free to bring her to Nashville when you all come up.
