Dr. update - 4 months

I had a dr. appt. this morning. We are now 4 months along! This pregnancy really is flying by. Everything checked out normal except my blood pressure was low and the dr. asked me if I have been feeling lightheaded....YEP! So, I am just suppose to drink lots of water. We heard the heartbeat and it was 150. I think over 160 leans towards the baby being a girl...and under 140 a boy. So, we are right in the middle! Of course. I told the dr. I am convinced I want to have a VBAC! So, wish us luck. Also, thanks to all of you who commented on the baby names post. I appreciate the input. (By the way...I changed my settings so anyone can post comments now, and not just the ones who have a blogger account.) I (keyword I, not Stephen) am pretty much set on Tessa Rose for a girl...and Gabriel Douglas (call him Gabe) for a boy. But we will see....lots of time left for me to change my mind.

Baby names

Below are some names that I like (not Stephen) just me. He will probably roll his eyes when he sees this post. We just cannot agree on names right now. ANWAY...I wanted to get your opinions on these names. Which do you like, which do you hate? Any other suggestions? I like the middle name Rose or Kate for a girl. And pretty certain the middle name is going to be Douglas if its a boy. I had a dream last night it is a boy.

Girls:
- Tessa
- Evie
- Libby
- Marly
- Charlie

Boys:
- Gabe
- Zeke
- Max

Rickie

So this is "Rickie", Allie's newest addition from Build-A-Bear. And yes she picked out its lovely outfit. She went straight toward the pink sequinned top and I just started laughing. I have to admit my mom and I came up with the name Ricki....named after the great Richard Simmons. Allie can come up with interesting names though. Her cabbage patch bathtub baby is named "Flossie". And, her latest to name her new baby brother (she thinks its a boy this week) is "Santa". She told us if it was a girl she wanted to name her "Love".

Another shot of Allie tormenting Izzy. Notice the cookie close to Izzy's mouth....and no, she didn't get this one (this time).

The above pics were a birthday gift my my in-laws. Susan took the pics and had them enlarged and framed. I think they turned out great!!!!!

Allie's Birthday Party

Allie and some of her friends at her birthday party posing for a picture. Her birthday party was princess themed...she was supposed to wear a little purple tutu that she had nothing to do with.

Eating ice cream and birthday cake...

Allie LOVES Caanan. Today I asked her if she wanted to have a little brother or sister, and she said "boy". I asked her what she wanted to name him...and she said "Caanan".

I wish she would smile at the camera.....

Blowing out her birthday candles....

David and Lindsey's shower

Lindsey (32 weeks pregnant) and myself (14 weeks pregnant).

Me, Trae, Lindsey, Kris, and Audrey

We played a game at Lindsey's baby shower where different candy bars were melted in diapers and we had to smell them to figure out what candy bar it was.

This one confused Tracey and she had to take a wee bite out of the candy bar poo to figure out what candy bar it was.

Chuck E. Cheese

Skee-ball is Allie's favorite game. Her favorite part of the game is to put the token in the slot....then she just hands the balls to us. The little girl next to Allie was so sweet! She just wanted us to watch her the whole time and tell her how good she was doing.

This is my Uncle Jerry. They live right down the street from Chuck E. Cheese and he and Aunt Nancy stopped in to say hi tonight while we were there.

She wouldn't give the mouse a five this time. We tried though....

Eating pizza with Pop and Maw-maw.

This game confused us....Allie, like she did all night, would walk by random games and put a coin in. We never quite figured it out and before it even started the game was over.

Allie had a blast dancing in front of the stage. At one point, she came up to me while she was dancing and said "shirt off". She had worked up a sweat and her little cheeks were pink.

We're in Huntsville

For those of you who have been asking me to post some pics of our house....here's one for you. This is our newly painted dining room and new dining room furniture (with plastic still on).

Allie just being her cute self.....

I love this picture....shows you how times change....my 2 year old daughter playing on the computer. I think she might be more computer savvy than my mom!

We went to Guntersville today to check out my cousin's (Crystal) shop (Grady's on Gunter - check it out if you are in the area....adorable baby/childrens clothing and gifts). The little girl in the pic is Rollins, Crystal's little girl. The girls were cute and unprompted holded hands...a lot.

We had lunch while we were in Guntersville...again, Allie and Rollins walking down the sidewalk holding hands.

We've been tagged

8 things you may not have known about Allie (thanks to Tracy Roper for tagging us):

1. She LOVES her security blankets, or as she calls them "blanks". She has a couple that are her favorite, but sleeps with about 8 blankets every night...along with 3 babies.

2. She is addicted to apple juice and drinks at least 4 cups a day (watered down of course). She is not keen on milk, but will drink chocolate or strawberry milk.

3. She has recently discovered her nose and loves to pick it constantly and flick bugars.

4. Her favorite songs: "Row row row your boat", "Itsy Bitsy Spider", "ABC", "Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer". Favorite cartoon: Dora. Favorite candy: Peppermints. Favorite food: cheese dip, ABC123s meatballs (not the noodles, just the meatballs...I wish you could just buy the meatballs without the ABC123s).

5. She LOVES to be chased....by anybody/thing. She is clever and has started holding a peice of food in her hand so Izzy will chase her around the house.

6. She LOVES to watch movies and knows how to work our DVD player (take the movie out of the case, open DVD player, insert movie, close DVD player and push PLAY).

7. She doesn't like to wear socks. If we try to send her to bed with socks, she always takes them off and throws them behind her crib. Her socks were mysteriously disappearing and we were down to only a few pair....until I looked behind her crib and found them ALL.

8. She has a favorite pair of pajamas (the owls) that she always wants to wear (day or night).

Alright....so PunkyDoop you are TAGGED!

Allie's 2 year check-up

We took Allie to the dr. today for her 2 year appt. She is a healthy little growing girl:

- 33.5 inches (25-50th percentile)

-23.7 lbs. ( 10-25th percentile)

-18.5 head circumference (25-50th percentile)

Looking for ants....
Getting a closer look at the ants.....
HA! I love this picture. For some reason, my husband got a wild hair to grow a mustache. This is his 2 week 'stache. Better luck next time hun.

Izzy's Freedom

For those of you who have known Izzy since she was a puppy will be amazed by this video! To others, you might not be that impressed. But, I am so proud of our little mutt. Since she was a puppy (she is now 4) she has always bolted as soon as she saw an open door....check out her progress.....we let her out to play in the front yard with us the other day WITHOUT a leash!!!!!

Izzy's bottle of motrin and Allie's birthday dinner

Not dissapointing us with a boring start to the new year....Izzy (our 4 year old dog) ate a bottle of childrens motrin today. Not sure how much of it was actually ingested....but it is caked up all in her hair where she had rolled in it afterward. She is currently laying beside me....and her stomach is making neat noises. Will she ever learn????

We took Allie to Chuck E. Cheese tonight for her birthday. She loved it when Chuck E. himself came out to mingle among the kids. She actually wanted to get a closer look at him, and once we were right beside him, Chuck E. stuck his hand out and Allie gave him a five. She is usually terrified of creatures dressed up like that, so I am very proud of her. She even danced the chicken dance a little with the mouse. Her favorite game was skee ball. She just liked to put the coins in the slot and hand us the balls to throw. 150 game tickets later....we left with 2 sheets of stickers no bigger than a post-it note. And sorry, I forgot my camera, so no pics of this eventful night.

Happy Birthday Allie

Today is our little girl's 2nd birthday. It feels so wierd even typing that....she isn't allowed to grow up this fast. I don't think she quite grasps the birthday concept and exactly what that means. But, she knows it is her birthday.
