Crafts with Daddy

Stephen thought he would take on an art project with Allie. Here they are with their masterpeice.

It's an owl.

Here they are playing Allie's favorite game....chase. And you can't chase without pushing something...it is a very tiring game that she constantly wants to play.

Ready for bed....I just love this little gown. Allie is into "pretty dresses" these days...she likes to wear this pretty dress to bed.

36 weeks dr. appt.- VBAC looking good

Encouraging dr. appt. today!

They did another ultrasound to check on baby's growth (to refresh your memory - 4 weeks ago, the ultrasound determined the baby to be measuring in the 92 percentile, weighing 5 lb., and abdomen measuring 3 weeks ahead of schedule)....surprisingly, now the baby's growth is right on track. Baby is measuring in at appx. 6 lb. 2 oz and in the 52.8 percentile with a heartrate of 167.

My belly is measuring at 38 weeks (we are 36 weeks). And, the best part is things are beginning to happen! I am 50% effaced and dilated 1/2 cm. A long way to go, but it is something! I don't have much of an appetite, I think the baby is taking up too much room in there making me feel full..and I lost 1/2 lb. from 2 weeks ago. I'll take it!

A lot of people ask me how I feel? Sleeping is becoming difficult...there is no comfortable position and I get up often to go to the bathroom. I feel a lot of low pressure and the baby is still pretty active. I am having a good amount of braxton hicks contractions...but not the real deal yet.

Overall, very encouraging dr. appt. today considering we are wanting to have a VBAC. My next appt. is in 1 week and hopefully we will have more good news to report then. Keep us in your prayers as we head towards the final stretch.

Happy Father's Day

I just wanted to wish a very Happy Father's Day to three dads in my life...

My wonderful husband....you are the best daddy to our little girl, and the most incredible and loving husband. Thank you for everything you do for us....We love you Babe!

My dad...who has supported me in everything I have ever done in life...and who always makes me feel like I am #1 in his life. I love you dad!

And to my Father-in-law. How lucky I am to have married into such a wonderful family and be blessed with such amazing in-laws. I mean that! You always keep me smiling and have always made me feel special. I love you Doug!

I hope you all have a very special Father's Day!

Good to be home

We are home from the hospital and doing well.

For those of you who haven't heard....I had....have....getting over a pretty nasty virus. It started Saturday night and I just was not feeling well. Then around 10:00 pm it started. I started getting sick and continued to get sick every 30 minutes all through the night. Then Sunday morning came diareah and fever. I couldn't keep anything down and was absolutely miserable! I have never felt so nauseous. So I called my Dr. early Sunday morning and they told me to go straight to the hospital (not taking any chances being that we are 35 weeks pregnant). They wasted no time admitting me and the nurse made a comment that I was the most severely dehydrated patient she had ever seen. They pumped IV's, antibiotics, fenergan (spelling?...this is for the nausea) through me the past 24 hours. They were also keeping a close eye on the baby. It was pretty scary looking over at the baby's monitor in the hospital and seeing the heart rate spiking to 200. Baby and I are doing SO much better and at home as of 11:00 am today. THANK YOU to all of you who helped us out...our neighbors, Ernie and Joanne kept Allie for us Sunday morning when we rushed off to the hospital until our friend Sarah came to relieve them...and she kept Allie for us until my parents arrived late Sunday afternoon. Most of all, thankyou to my dear husband, Stephen, for being right there beside me every step of the way. I won't go into details....but you know someone really loves you when they are with you at your worst.

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH.

Ice cream

These are some picss that my talented mother-in-law, Susan, took while she was visiting us back in April. Give yourself more credit Susan....you take awesome pictures. I love how she captures very candid moments. Stephen got a sweet Father's Day gift in the mail today from his parents with this first picture framed. Then another one with the first 3 pics framed together. More pics to come in a few days of some photos Susan took from our beach trip in April.

Baby's Birthday???

No new news from todays dr. appt. I am still measuring big (2 weeks from the measurement taken today). We are scheduled to have one more ultrasound on June 19th to look at the size of the baby again. At that point we will be 36 weeks and 2 days. My original due date was July 15th. Dr. Pasui mentioned today that what might happen is a scheduled C-section 1 week before my due date (so C-section around July 8th)....OR if I go into labor on my own before that date, then we will try to have a VBAC. With that said, I welcome any predictions...
